Hey Love!
Welcome! I'm Sheena and I am so grateful you have decided to learn more about me! I'm really not all that interesting: I'm a sassy, introverted Southern gal who loves her some Jesus! That's a mouth full, huh?! Well, I'm also a Happily married mom of 3 extremely" well-behaved" kids. I'm an entrepreneur with a Masters of Education,, specializing in Corporate Wellness as well as a Certified Mental Renewing Wellness Coach.
OH! I almost forgot this part...
After years of not dealing with severe depression, in 2020, I was formally diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety, depression, and PTSD from the many sudden deaths of almost my entire, immediate family...
See, I didn't get to the level of wellness I am at currently overnight, in fact, my wellness journey only began when I had hit my lowest. I suffered a mental and emotional breakdown and I didn't know what to do....God began to place people in my path to help me learn how to crawl out of the darkness that surrounded me day in and day out. It's amazing how the very people helping me, revealed their personal downfalls and how they too, had fallen, at some point, to mental breaks and even suicidal behavior.
I had a revelation...
I realized that what I had in common with these fellow co-workers is that all of us had no one to help them make it thru the storms that had come and wrecked havoc in our lives. Just like myself, they were Ashamed...While I was going through therapy I was trying to complete my master's degree. It was then that I was enrolled for a required course that introduced me to the amazing world of wellness coaching.
Along with my studies, I also began to study God's Word more than ever. In the Word of God, I learned that God wants us to be happy, healthy, and whole. I learned that there is power in asking for help and receiving it. A simple action can lead to a life of healthiness: mind, body, and spirit. So, I am devoting my life to helping others, just as I was helped, to survive through depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts and actions.
